Terrell The J. M. Jackson Culture and Study club held its December 8 meeting at Mrs. A. L. Terrell’s home with the vice president, Mrs. Willie Robinson in charge. Plans were discussed for the Fed eration’s exhibit to be held on January 10, at the home of Mrs. J. M. Jackson. Members of the club drew names for the ex changing of Christmas gifts. The meeting of December 22, consisted of general business; a discussion on the Bible; the ex changing of gifts from a beauti fully decorated tree, and a de licious menu served by the host ess, Mrs. Jackson. Mrs. Ethel Bolton was our visitor. Mrs. Jackson entertained a number of her friends with a buffet supper on the night of De cember 27. Her dining room was beautifully decorated with fruit, candels and gum drops displayed on a lace' cloth. Everyone had an enjoyable time. Miss Arletha 4»i Lincoln Council Holds One Week Training School The leadership training school of the Lincoln Council of Religi ous Education will be held Jan. 30 to Feb. 4. A school will be held on Sunday 2:30 to 4:30 p. m. and Monday and Tuesday 7:30 to 9:15 p. m., at First Evangelical United Brethren church, 33rd and Starr. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the same faculty teaching the same courses will move' to First Presbyterian church, 17th and F. Courses are accredited by the International Council of Re ligious Education. Dr. G. S. Willey will give a course on Sunday school admin istration for Sunday school su perintendents and members of education committees in the ’ocal churches. Dr. C. Vin White will teach a course on the life and work of St. Paul. Mrs. R. R Kreps, Miss Hildegard Persson and Mrs. Henry Engel will give courses on methods for teaching intermediates, juniors and pri mary children respectively. Jan. 16 is training school regis tration Sunday in all Lincoln churches. The superintendent of each Sunday school in Lincoln will have registration cards and promote registration in his church. General registrar of the northside school is E. F. Peter, of the south side school, Mrs. Lloyd Reed. The leadership training school is a co-operative effort of the churches of Lincoln. No regis tration fees will be charged. The Lincoln Council of Religious Edu cation is the sponsor and invites gmyone interested to enroll in the courses of either or both schools. —Lincoln Journal.
