(Or at least most of them did.) Some of the coyples were: Betty Boman and Donald Botts and Margo Knowles and Eugene Graham. Sandwiches and punch were served and the evening was spent informally. * * * It’s good- to see Evelyn “Boots” McDaniels back in town again, and I also noticed that she is getting on some fine tin^e with none other than Albert Bowen. * * * Surprise date of the week: Susie White Hall and Bobbie Hutchiso. * * * Another couple at the teen age party was Phillis Holcomb and George Alexandra. * * * There were many teen agers in the style show modeling some most fine clothes. Lopy Finley was wearing a fine suit, Nellie and Betty Wilson looked very fine in their twin outfits, and there were many more. * * * There was much parading Easter Sunday. Among them were Boots McDaniels and Al bert Bowen who took in the show at the Stuart as did Phillis Hol comb and George Alexandra. * * * Venturing out of the state of Nebraska for Easter were Lois and Cecil* Hatcher going to Kan sas City and Wheiland Tarpley who is in Denver. * * * Frank King is back in our city for a while. We are glad to see him back. * * * Orchids to the Quinn Chapel basketball team for winning all of their games last week. Good work boys. * * * Best dressed couple: Delores Bowen •nd Fletcher Bell. He was killed in a highway accident Wednesday, March 24. * * * Mr. Eugene Skiner and Mrs. Robbie Davis of Omaha, and Mr. Clyde W. Malone were dinner guests of Mrs. Adgenese Adams March 15. * * * The Urban League Guild met Thursday evening and made plans for a project in April. Bell by 20 little girls. They hunted eggs, played games and read books. The lucky little lady who found the most eggs was Joan Botts, for which she received a prize of a large chocolate egg. Runners up w^ere Lillian Bell and Frances June Bradford yzho found 21 and 17 eggs respectively. Mrs. Bell was assisted by Mr. Margo Bell. BEAL BROS. Cream together shortening, sugar and molasses. Beat in egg and vanilla. Alter nately add milk with sifted dry ingredients to the above mixture and beat V2 minute. Pour batter in a well-greased and lightly floured 9-inch square pan. Cover with crumbly topping. Bake 30 minutes in a moderately hot oven (375 degrees F.).
