Application Ecclesisastes, or the preacher, comes to our Bible through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, working through Solomon. In this book most of the Bible is put in a nutshell. All pursuits of man that are not for the glory of God and His Kingdom are vanity. We are striving for the King dom. If you run a business your suc cess is measured by your profits. Your farm by the crops it pro duces. In order to enhance their value you must study and gain knowledge about your particular work. The Preachef states that all these are vanity without gaining the knowledge of God. Earthly gain alone, brings only an empty satisfaction. A full stomach, perhaps, a mansion, a fine car, but to every man this is nothing compared to the soul filling of God’s love. “Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher. “All is vanity.” -o Join the 4-H.
