E. Handy Subject: —“Wise Words About Work” Scripture Text: —Prov. 6, 10, 13 18. Eccl. 5:12 Memory Verse: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do with thy might.” Lesson Application— God never intended our lives to be empty. In the Garden of Eden, Adam was placed as a “care taker.” Some folk have an idea that heav en will be a place where forever we will sit under some shady tree with never a reason to lift our folded hands to do a single thing. What a dull prospect to contem plate. True our tasks will be simple. Nothing tiresome. No scorching heat or chilling winds. Just e nough to keep us amused between the songs of praise to our God. Our work will be a pleasure. So, too, we must work here on earth. It is a false notion that work is a punishment. God placed things here for us to work with and through their use we gain self expression and through that expression we worship God. Yes, we may worship God through our work, because God gives you a gift to do one thing best and by using that gift to the best of your efforts you are honoring your creator. So far we have spoken of man ual labor. The Christian must also labor for Christ’s Kingdom; through life, song, and the spoken word. PIANOS RADIOS SEWING MACHINES WASHERS SWEEPERS Gourlay Bros.
