Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Whitmon
and family are newcomers to the
city. They moved here from Alli
ance, Nebrsaka several weeks
ago and reside at 2245 S Street.
Mr. Whitmon is employed at the
^ Cornhusker Hotel and they will
afiliate with the Newman Meth
odist Church.

Richard Crittenden is also a
recent newcomer from Alliance.
Mrs. Henrietta Wilson (Little
Miss Brown) was hospitalized in
Omaha Sunday after suffering a
heart attack. Rev. Riley Bell had
accompanied Mrs. Wilson to
Omaha. She is still a patient at
Douglas Hospital.

Mr. John A. Craft arrived Mon
day to spend a weel$ with his son
* and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
” Mrs. Edw. G. Craft, 2055 S St.
Mr. Craft will visit other chil®
dren in Detroit, Michigan, and is
then contemplating making his
home in Lincoln. He has lived
in Smithville, Texas.

dent and member of Quinn Chapel
A. M. E. Church spent Sunday as
the house guest of Mrs. Margaret
Williams. She was accompanied
by her neice, Ana Vivian Walker.

Mrs. Bertha Smith of Topeka,
Kansas, and Mr. Otis Page of
| Council Bluffs, la., sister and
brother of Mrs. Ardell Knowles,
attended the funeral of Mr.
Knowles on Wednesday.
Other out-of-town relatives at
tending the funeral were Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Whitebear of Billings,
Montana.

with Mr. and Mrs. John Miller
to Omaha on Sunday. Mr. Miller
will be in attendance at a special

of Fairbury on Thursday evening.
Miss Stith will spend three years
in nurse training at Chicago
following her graduation.
