Place over rapidly boiling water and cook, beating constantly with J rotary beater for 7 minutes or until frosting stands in peaks. Re move from fire, add flavoring beating well. Makes enough to cover top and sides of two 8-inch | layer cakes or top and sides of 14 large cup cakes. • * * * Cheese and Tomato Rabbit ^ Yi cup chopped onion i s/i cup milk 2 T. melted butter Yi tsp. prepared mustard 1 10M> or 11 oz. can condensed tomato soup. 2 cups grated American cheese Yi tsp. worchestershire sauce Cook onion in butter until gol den, add soup and milk, blend, *eat thoroughly. Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs; add to remaining hot mixture. 1 1 *ML I Cook 2 minutes, stirring con stantly. Add seasonings and cheese, stir to melt cheese. Serve immediately on toast slices or over crisp crackers. * • * DATE BARS 1 egg V-i cup sugar V-i cup melted shortening or salad oil N 1 cup chopped pitted dates V4 cup chopped walnut meats Ms cup flour % tsp. salt Ms tsp. baking powder powdered sugar. Beat egg, add sugar, mix well. Add shortening or salad oil. Add dates and nut meats. Sift to* gether flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Spread in greased pan 8”x8”x2”. Bake in moderate oven (325 degrees F) 30 minutes. Name --~~--- Phone Address Credit subscriptions to Arkansas Democrats Forming Stale-Wide Organization A move to cover every county in the state is being made by the Arkansas Democratic Association, according to an announcement here last week by Dr. J. M. Robin son, president. Letters to Arkansas Democrats informed them “ we wish to or ganize the voters of each ward in cities of the first class, and of each township where colored; voters reside. Each club will be \ entitled to one delegate to the i State Convention for the first 50 members or less, and one addi tional delegate for each additional 50 members. The Arkansas Negto Democrat ic Association is promoting a fund raising campaign, Dr. Robinson said, and every Negro Democrat is urged to contribute $1 to the fund. About 9,000 Negroes voted, in the Democratic primary last year, Dr. Robinson revealed, with 3,000 voting*in Pulaski county. Counties already organized by his association include Miller, Jef ferson, Ashley, Sebastian, Hot Springs, Jackson, Hampstead, Conway, Faulkner and Pulaski, Dr. Robinson said.
