Mr. and Mrs. R. Eugene Edwards,
has announced his marriage
which took place on May 3, 1947,
in Newburgh, N. Y.

Mrs. Herman Tapp and daugh
ter, Pamela are confined to their
home with chicken pox.

James Adkins, s'on of Mr. and
Mrs. Jeph Adkins, made his first
. appearance with the Milford
school ball team, Sunday. He is
enrolled at the Nebraska Trade
School at Milford.

Mr. Alex Fields spent Mother’s
Hay with his mother in Kansas
City.

Mrs. Ethel Williamson has been
confined to her home for several
weeks due to illness.
Mrs. Leona Brown of New York
City, daughter of Mrs. John Mil
ler, spent the week end recently
with Mis. Eugenia Simms Brown
who is attending Juliard School
of Music on a scholarship. Both
girls were former school mates
at the University of Nebraska.
Miss Carrie Brown, who has
been residing in Muskegon, Mich,
for the past several months, ar
rived Saturday to spend Mother’s
Day with her mother, Mrs. Sallie
Brown.

Miss Brown has been compli
mented with a number of social
courtesies during her stay, among'
them being a dinner party by
Mi’s. William Woods and a party
*given by Mrs. Ethel Kirtle^. Miss
Brown left Thursday.

Mrs. Margaret McWilliams
spent several days home due to
illness.

Recordings made by Helen
Wilson, who recently signed a
contract in California, were re
ported by Lincolnites who heard
them, as being very good. Miss
Wilson is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James Wilson and is known
throughout the city for her part
in the family quartette.

Baby Jeanette Lucille, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Adams,
*was the recipient of a silver cup
from Antibes, (A.M.) France, re
cently. The donor was an ac
quaintance of Mr. Adams during
World War II.
Baby Stephanie Cooke is re
ported somewhat improved at St.
Elizabeth Hospital.

sas City, Missouri was a recent
house guest of Mr. and Mrs. John
Miller.

Topeka, Kansas this week to
bury his father .

Mr. Ardell Knowles is reported
ill at the Lincoln Veteran's
Hospital.

Colorado is a guest of her daugh
ter, Mrs. Overton who is con
valesing at the E. Winters home,

eral days this week visiting in
Chicago.

Mrs. D. L. Shakespeare left
Wednesday for her home in Par
sons, Kansas after spending sev
eral weeks with her son and
daughter-in-law, Rev. and Mrs.
M. L. Shakespeare. Enroute to
her home she will spend a week
with her son and daughter-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Shakespeare,
Jr., in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. Vincent Williams is home
after a recent operation. She is
reported doing fine.
