They visited friends and relatives of Mrs. Fields. Clarice is the daughter of Marie Robin son. * * * * Lincoln named the Lilac City. * • • • Shirley Reece of Kansas City, Kansas, arrived in Lincoln Wed nesday to spend a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilkins, Sr., 916 “P” Street. Miss Reece is a Niece of the Wilkins. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hudson entertained as their guests, Mr. Edward Davis and Mr. Roy Rob inson of St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Davis and Mr. Robinson are traveling salesmen for a *soap manufacturing company. * * * * Newcomers to Lincoln are Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Banks of Beatrice, Nebraska. They are at home to their friends at 648 So. 20th St. Mrs. Banks is the former Jaunita Brooks of Beatrice. * * * * It is good to see the following persons recuperated after ex tended illness: Mrs. E. G. Craft, Mr. John Irving, Mr. H. Harris and Mr. Charles Walker. * * * * Mrs. Horace Cooke has returned from California after an extended vacation. * * * * Baby Stephanie Cooke is con fined to St. Elizabeth hospital her mother reported. * * * * Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Durr left recently to visit Mrs. Durr’s mother in Kansas. * • * * Mrs. Sue Harrison of Chicago, Illinois, who has been visiting in California accompanied her sister, Mrs. Cooke to Lincoln, and will spend several weeks in the city before going to Chicago. * * * * Mrs. Virginia Botts has been indisposed for about two weeks. * * * * Henry McWilliams and Shorty Botts are managers of a soft ball team which was organized recent ly. They won their first game Thursday night. * * * * Lt. V. J. Baker is a house guest of his cousin, Miss Mary L. Greene of 2200 Dudley. Lt. Baker who recently returned from overseas will spend part of his leave with his sisters in Cheyene, Wyoming. ♦ * * * The Fun Frolic sponsored by the Senior Choir Sunday after noon was reported quite a suc cess. Miss Esther Parker was chairman of the affair. * * * * It was reported that Mrs. Paul ine Ivory was slightly injured in an automobile accident recently.
