Alton Greene St. Louis, Missouri --- Sunday School Lesson By Rev. R. E. Handy Subject: Jesus at the Feast of Tabernacies. Scripture: John 8: 12-16. 9: 1-5. - The Lesson Down to date - In a previous lesson Jesus tells the people that He is the ‘ Bread of Life”. In this lesson He de clares that He is the “Light of the World.” All men who will follow Jesus will not walk in darkness, but those who do not have Christ for their guidance are in darkness. This darkness is mental, morale and spiritual. There are many men highly trained in science and the arts. They try to delve into the un known and find out the whys and wherefores of life. Sooner or later they come to a blank wall and darkness. But if they would only seek and find Jesus, how the light would break through. Jesus with His illumining spirit would dis pell the gloom and every ques tion would be answered. As the sun is the light for our planet, so Jesus is our Christian light revealing God. Though we may have candles, lamps, and electric lights, still it would be a dark old world without the sun. And though we had many prophets before Jesus came, true morning did not arrive until He came to reveal the Father. To follow Christ is to walk in the light, you will not stumble, you will not lose the way. “Walk in the Light, beautiful light; Come where the dew drops of mercy shine bright. Shine all around us by day and by night. Jesus the Light of the World.” Patronize Our Advertisers WALL PAPERS AND PAINTS For all purposes, and in all price ranges Formerly Columbia Glass & Paint Co, ^u\k)\WlkTU.
