Sunday afternoon the Rally
sponsored by the H. Y. P. U. was
a success. Rev. C. L. Carhee, our
new minister at Christ Temple,
Omaha brought a soul stirring
message on “looking For a City
Whose builder and Maker Is God”
all of you that failed to attend
this service missed a wonderful
sermon. Rev. Carhee is one of
our most prepared ministers of
our church. We thank the citi
zens of'Lincoln, for the Rally was
over $50. Rev. J. W. Goodwin,
Rev. O. J. Burckhardt, Deacon
John Anderson, D K. West and
Rev. J. H. Jones accompanied the
Omaha Pastor to Lincoln.

prayer. Rev. Favors delivered a
most interesting sermon about
“Robbers in the House of God.”
Mrs. Lillian Bradley sang “Does
Jesus Care.” Friday night, Dec.
6, was the supper at Mt. Zion
Baptist Church, and young Tom
Brenaman was Rev. John Favors.
Everyone had a wonderful time.
The church collected $63.42 from
the dinner.
There will be Bible Class Sun
day night at 6:30.
Visitors were Mrs. Bass from
Omaha, and Mr. Anderson from
Omaha. Miss Mary Bass, Mrs.
Hall, Miss Geraldine Nettles, Miss
Ledora Walker united with the
church Sunday morning.

Baptist Church Friday night turn
ed out to be Rev. John Favors,
who tried many hats before he
finally found the funniest. The
affair was scheduled for 7:30, but
at 6 o’clock many seats were al
ready taken. The mother of Mrs.
Hammond was awarded the Or
chid for being the oldest guest
present. There were twenty
prizes during the evening and a
delightful dinner was served.

sage “From the Wastebasket to
