Farm No. 1
Farm No. 1 is described as follows: being the northeast (1-4)
and east half of southeast section 32, township 16, range 14, and con
taining 240 acres more or less, arid locally known as “The Herschag
Farm,” splendid road to Loup City, school house within half mile,
where eight months school is held each year. Phone runs along east
line. The buildings, while not large are comfortable, consisting of a
three room house, plastered and papered, stables for six head of horses
on one side, cow stable on the other, mow holding about four tons of
hay, cribs and other outbuildings, one eighty fenced, twelve acres in
alfalfa and rye fenced hog tight, about 1 50 acres broke, 70 acres pas
ture and 20 acres hay, there being 22 acre^ alfalfa in all.
The soil is of a dark loam, underlaid with clay, pasture rough,
farm land gently rolling, would make a splendid dairy farm, only three
miles from Loup City, a town of fifteen hundred, and county seat of
Sherman County.

Farm No. 2 is described as follows: being the south half (1 -2) of
section 13, township 16, range 14, located four miles north of Schaupps,
5 miles north and 6 miles east from Loup City, splendid roads to other 1
adjoining towns, school house within a mile, where nine months school
is taught each year, phone line runs within half mile of the house, the
buildings consists of a good sod house with four rooms and in good
shape, bam about 24 by 32, holds 16 head of horses, a good size hay
mow, this bam being nearly new; grainery and other improvements.
The farm is fenced and cross-fenced, 1 10 acres broke, 140 acres pas
ture, 7 0 acres meadow, and about 10 acres alfalfa.
The soil is a dark loam underlaid with clay, gently rolling and
most all new land. This is a fine farm for stock and for farming.
