‘ W. F. MASON, President L. HANSEN, Cashier Your Checks Are Beceipts Pay-as-you-go * is an excellent maxim provided you I»ay by check. It's foolish to carry money on your person, except for the smallest purchases and incidentals, for aside from the care and inconvenience, there is always the danger of theft or loss. But with a check book ox this bank in your pocket the inconvenience and worry is eliminated. You write out a check for the exact amount of each purchase, your check stub is a record for reference and the check itself will later be returned to you by the bank and may be retained as a receipt. Some people may think of the check account as being complicated. Nothing could be more simple however. We keep books for you and there is a record for your every transaction, This bank by its conservatism has brought gains to many a depositor who asked for advice. It will do the same for you. Your account will be welcomed. First National Bank Loup ity, Nebraska. We Pay 5 per cejit on Time Deposits. A COMPLETE LINE Of Furniture, Rugs, Linoleum, Shades, Etc. E. P. He has filled the office during the past two years and de sires a second term. He has made quite a remarkable record so far as protecting his county from heavy exjjense is concerned, and prides himself on the fact that he has saved Sherman county as much or more than the amount of his salary, dnring the past two years. By nature Mr. Pedler is a j>eacemaker. and the Bible says that a peacemaker is blessed. Whether or not the voters of Sher man county will vote in accord ance with the scriptural conclusion can not l>e said, but we believe they should. Any constituency would be; lucky to have available the services of a man as balanced and as public spirited as .Toe Pedler. —Ravenna. News, F. M. Henry, county treasurer of Sherman county, and a candi date for re-election on the repub lican ticket, was in Ravenna a few hours Wednesday, and while here met many of his constituents from southern Sherman county. Mr. Henry has been an expert ac countant during the greater part of his life, and his exacting duties as treasurer of Sherman county are very much in line with his tastes and training, and he hopes to be re-elected for a second term. The treasury department of Sher man cnunty, under his administra tion, has been conducted with such degree of accuracy and effici ency as to command the highest admiration of those familiar with his work and of those com petent to judge of its excellence, and it is altogether probable that ] the voters of his county will appre ciate and value proven efficiency to the extent that he will be re elected by a substantial majority. Personally he is a very popular man in Loup City, where he is best known. His unasual loyalty to duty, fine integrity, and kindli ness of manner makes of him an exemplary man and much valued citizen.—Ravenna News. Father • o»>.
