Austin Monday to start a new
bam for Hans Obermiller.
All Ice patrons commencing prior

S. S. Reynolds of Webster
township has had built for him a
large bam on his home farm.

gates to the state convention, to
select a new central committee,
and to transact such other busi
ness as maybe for the good and
welfare of the Progressive party.

W. H. Gunn of Kearney feels good
over the prospects. He spent a few
days the past week at his farm on
Wiggle creek.
Maggie McFadden's school and
Lila Goodwin's school gave the car
rier some of the good things they had
on the last day of school. Thanks.
Maggie McFadden’s scholars pre
sented her with a jelly spoon also
a beny spoon, at the picnic the last
dav of school down near Austin
bridge, all report a splendid time.
E. G. Tavlor, J. S. Pedler, A. L.
Zimmerman and John McDonell took
their autos loaded with old soldiers
and sons to the Wiggle creek church,
whereafter listening to a splendid
program they went to the 'N ederette
cemetery. Here a short service was
held in honor of the departed soldiers
after the service, the soldiers and
sons present marched, single tile and
decorated the graves. The speakers
of the day were Rev. Wagner at the
church and R. P. Starr at the ceme
tery, marshall of the day was James
McBeth.
A heavy rain of from an inch to an
inch and a half fell on the entire
route last week Wednesday night, and
on Friday night over one-half inch
fell. Nothing has lacked in moisture
all spring. The first cutting of al
falfa is made. A better hay crop
than last year is sure. Everything
