county. While the new idea boys
here repudiated any thought of
foeloei with the republicans on the
county ticket, we find that tea
majority of the counties where the
new omnteation bas been perfected
they bare folio wed the express wish
at the chief captains of the new
political industry in taking county
pniwire out of the fight, in order to
center all the fight to be made be
tween the mooeers and the republicans
on the at the tickets. Perhaps
the bull moosets are wiser
time their brothers in other coun
ties. but we bare our doubts as to
their wisdom in making a three-cor
nered political fight in this county.

The Northwestern this week pub
■ lished Vol. 1, No. 1, of the Northwest
ern District Cal), a mlnature news
paper for the dental association of
j this district, of which our popular
dentist. Dr. S. A. Allen is president,
. the little paper being tilled with good
things for dentists and edited by the
doctor. It is a splendid innovation for
the association, and is gotten out to
advertise the next meeting, which is
| to be held at Hastings, Oct. 15.
Thus, together with quite a little
, more advertising relative to the com
1 ing meeting, also gotten out from our
1 job department, will undoubtedly re*
suit in creating much added interest
and attendance at the meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. Jaque Neimis of
Chicago, the latter formerly Miss
Mary Wagner of this county, and sis
ter of George Wagner, and Mrs. John
de la Motto of the southwest part of
Sherman, are visiting the latter. They
expect to return to their home to
morrow. Mr. Neimis is connected
with a job printing establishment in
his city.

Call for Bids on Township Lins
Bridge 1-2 Mile North of
Schaupps
Sealed bids will be received until 1
o'clock p.m.. November 2,1912, at the
office of the county clerk in Sherman
county, Nebraska, for the construc
tion of one steel reinforced concrete
bridge across Oak Creek, located about
one-half (*4) mile north of Schaupps
on the township line between Ashton
and Loup City townships at the site
of the old bridge.
Bids will be received for the above
bridge as follows:—viz
One (1) twenty (20) foot steel rein
forced concrete bridge as per plans and
specifications on file at the county
clerk’s office.
Bids will be opened publicly at .the
county clerk's office in Loup City,
Nebraska, at 2 o'clock p. m. Novem
ber 2. 1912.
The townships of Ashton and Loup (
City reserve the right to reject any

the traveled road running south over

twelve (12) until it reaches a point
about half way through the south
west quarter of sec. twelve (12) thence
following arocnd the beads of ravines
south to connect with “Old Delaney”
road No 45 all in township 16, rang*
15, has reported in favor of the es
tablishment thereof and all objection ,
thereto or claims for damages must
be tiled in the office of the connty -«
