Those within a block or more of the scene received severe shocks and the tele phone wires crackled like so much burning bush. As per announcement in North western columns, last week, the post office was moved into its new quar ters west of the public square in the building especially built for its ac comodation by the Cement Block Co., owned and operated by Messrs. The moving of tiie postoffice occured late on Sat urday afternoon and placed in full position that night under the full glare of electric lights furnished ahead of time by the electric light company, as promised a few days earlier. A slight hitch in getting the wires stretched by the company, caused by the strike of linemen the latter part of the week was overcome in time to put in temporary lights direct from the power house. The scene was very pretty and gave evi dence of-what electric lighting will do toward beautifying our city after the shades of night come jipon us.
