Nebraska did lierself proud last Friday, through her delating teams of the State Fniversity. On that evening, tlie teams of the Fniversity engaged in forensic contest w ith Wis consin and Illinois, one team in the auditorium at Lincoln against the Wisconsin Fniversity team, and tlie other at Frhana. Ills., against tlie Illinois Fniversity bunch. In both debate.- the Nebraska boys won a splendid victory. At Lincoln the Nebraskans took tiie affirmative of the question "Resolved that the movement of labor for the ciosed shop should receive tlie support of public opinion", while at Frbana tiie Nebraskans took the negative side. Tlie fact that Nebraska won in both contests, tlie state teams taking opposite sides on tlie same question, shows splendidly for tlie ability shown iu both instances. Our own Clifford Rein headed the Nebraska team at Frliana. and his victory will always be a matter of pride to his friends here and gives him a fore most place among tlie eloquent young men of Nebraska.
