The Thaw case has at last got its jury selected and the trial is now going on. much to the delight of the lovers of that kind of reading. From a sensible point of view, how much better it would have been had White killed Thaw as well, and thus save the public the exhibition now going on. The sub-committee of-the joint railroad committee of the house and senate appointed to draft a 2-eent passenger rate bill has completed its work and presented a bill to that effect, using the former law amended to read 2 instead of 3 cents per mile. It will probably come before the two houses some day this week. In answer to the query of the Aurora Sun of last week. “What does the editor of the Northwestern, a re publican newspaper, think of his re form legislature?'' our answer is that a majority are all right, while a few. like some of the fusion members, need a good deal of "lisin." We are all well and enjoying good health. We are having a tine wdnter. with some snow which does not stay long, as we have gone to bed several nights with the ground covered with snow and when we got up it was all gone. This is a tine climate here and so far we all like it real well, and the big red apples are fine. Boise is a good town, there being a great deal of improvement going to be done this summer. The government is going to spend $300,000 on their fort and are building an electric rail row! from Boise to Eagle, then to Star and Col well. Boise has over 20,0otice.
