Hand Shot to Pieces
Mike Chioekoun, a young Polish boy
who has been working for S. F.
Reynolds, had his right hand shot to
pieces and his side punctured by a
few stray pellets, Tuesday forenoon,
the results of the careless handling of
a shot gun. The boy was at the
slaughter house and was about to re
turn to town, when he picked up the
gun to place it on a hayrack, and
with his right hand over the muzzle
and nis left farther up the barrel,
gave it a pitch forward when the
trigger struck on the edge of the rack
discharging the load the contents
tearing away the lower part of the
hand and also entering his side. He
was brought to town and taken to
his home, where Dfrs. Kearns and
Main dressed his wounds and he is
resting as easy as possible under the
circumstances.
