and we only make mention of the in

It was a jolly lot of the old boys tbat

to luncheon Tuesday evening, the oc

Chase met Joe as he climbed from his
engine and for an hour kept him up
town while the crowd took possession
of his home. At the termination of the
luncheon, which did credit to Mrs.
O’Bryan and daughter, Miss Gladys,
Judge Wall arose and after accusing
Joe of every crime on the calendar, to
which he plead guilty, the judge pre
sented him with a handsome watch
charm and a gold ring. Joe responded
in a terse but feeling manner, and after
an hour in recounting events that trans

Troy Hale described life as he enjoyed
it on the range. Those present were;

TWS A GRINDER crusher
And while you are here, we want to show you the merits of the best feed grinders ever .
invented. They have roller bearings, chilled steel burrs, friction plates to take up the
wear, and nine lugs to force the grain into the burrs, which make three revolutions to
one of the sweep, and the bearings run in oil. \
THE FAMOUS LIGHTNING FEED GRINDER
grinds faster, runs easier and lasts longer than any other mill made, and you never have
to grind your grain a second time to get it fine enough.
You can grind
Wheat, Rye, Oats, Kaffir Cera aad Corn, shelled or la the ear
at the rate of twenty-five to fifty bushels an hour with one horse.

Who Was Mean Enough?
Last Saturday morning when J S.
Pedler opened the front door of his
r- sidence, he found wrapped in an old
copy of The Northwestern and
deposited on the doorstep, a picture of
his two children taken in childhood, the
package besmeared with either drops
of blood or red ink, and on the back of
the picture were pasted words and
letters cut from the Gasteyer adver
tisement. together with some penciled
letters, the whole forming a sentence
rejecting upon Mr. Pedler, and signed
with the word “Dog.” JL'he whole
thing was the work of a dastard or
dastards, whoever may be the author or
authors of the detestable work and was
and is heartily condemmed by all right
minded people. We dislike the idea
that such so-called humans have exis
tence in our midst.
To The Public.
I wish to say to the public in general
that owing to my poor health in the
past year, I have decided to put an
other dray on the street to do the
heavier work. Romeo Conger will
drive this dray and we will be found at
the same old stand ready for business
of all kinds early and late. Thanking
you for past favors and asking for a
share of your patronage in the future,
I remain, yours for business,
Jas. W. Conger.
