Last week. W. R. Mellor was unanimously re elected President of the Nebraska State Fair Association, at the meeting of the directors in Lincoln. Mr. Mel lor made a splendid record as presiding officer of the association the past year, and his re-election came with a unani mous action and enthusiasm which be tokens his popularity with the fair people. The protracted meetings being held at the Baptist church are proving a success in so much as those who at tend are feeling well repaid for the effort put forth. It can truly be said that the Spirit of God prevades the meetings. While the attendance has not been what could have been wish ed yet the r^ is no reason to be dis couraged for that good is being done, no one who lias* attended can doubt. Rev. Wold is untiring in his effort ! to do his part in making the meeting - a success, and God is blessing his r efforts. The union service Sunday 5 evening was well attended and a > friendly feeling was evidenced among ■ all in attendance. Rev. Cowell occu - pied the pulpit with Rev. Wold and did much to make the meeting a suc : cess. We are glad to see the friendly , feeling between these servants of God r When Gods people can come togather . and work for the advancement of His . kingdom we may expect that those I who are indifferent about these things ! will stop and consider.
