People go to the city to buy goods, thinking they can buy them cheaper. Ordinarily prices are higher in the city than in the country and the only reason the consumer does not buy at home is because he thinks he can buy cheaper in the city. The Sunday School convention held in Litchfield, Octoper 17 and 18, was a decided success, although it began raining before the first ses sion closed and continued to rain until after the convention closed. But the delegates did not seem to mind it at all. There were only seven schools represented, out of the seventeen in the county, but we are told that a number more delegates would have beeu present on Tuesday had it not rained. Miss Mamie Ilames, state primary worker, was present and gave us a great deal of help. Her suggestion sre good and can be used even in the smallest couotry schools. In speaking of the benefits derived from having low seats she said that much of the restlessness and inattention of the little ones is due to the fact that their feet do not touch the floor She said if she were teaching such a class where she could have neither kindergarten chairs or little benches she would tell each child to ask Its mother to cover a little box and have them bring those to sit on her “Echoes from the Jerusalm Cruse” was very entertaining and instruct ive.
