Everything has gone for Roose
velt, that is every northern state,
Virginia, Gassaway Davis’ state,
gives Roosevelt 25,000, while New’
Y'ork turns Parker down by 228,000.
This gives Roosevelt 309 electoral
votes, with Parker only 14 4 and
Colorado and Missouri in the doubt
ful column. The landslide to Roose
velt has been the greatest in the
history of the country, and far ex
ceeds the wildest expectations. In
fact at no time was democracy in
it to the slightest extent. Next week
we will give full returns from every
state in the union, as it is impos
sible at this early day to give more
than a semi-official notice of the
great Republican landslide and a
few approximate figures.

Nebraska is claimed by the Re
publicans for Roosevelt by some
60,000. The fight on Mickey has
been one of the most virulent m the
history of the state, and that to
gether with the ill feeling and an
tagonism against the new revenue
law was used in every way to en
compass the defeat of the head of the
Republican sta'e ticket, but mo3t
dismally failed and he and the rest
of the state tieket were elected by
handsome majorities, while the leg
islature is safely Republican.

Sherman county is all right. She
has given Roosevelt and the Repub
lican stxte and countv ticket jrood
majorities from Teddy down to
road overseers, with the exception
ot Mickey for governor. Notwith
standing the bitter fight made on
County Attorney J. S Pedlar, both
in and outside paity lines, he has
been re-lectcd by 116 majority.
Senator Wall carries the county by
85, which is far in excess of that
given him two years ago. Buffalo
advices from all but four townships
gave Judge Wall 300 majority. A
nasty tight was made on him in Buf-1
falo county nearly tl>e last moment
and too late to give the lies a good
airing, but they seem to have mired
in their own wallow of filth and in
decency. Mr. Smelser landed safe,
if only by a slight majority of 9 and
will be the first Republican repre
sentative Sherman county has bad
in the legislature since 1888—or six
teen long years. W. O. Brown
and Htnning Clausen were easy
winners for supervisors in their rep
resenative districts. Below we give
theoflical returns of Sherman county
of the leading candidates, giving
