The ball game scheduled for Tuesday
on the home grounds wa3 called off, the
Lincoln Creameries being unable to
make the date.
There will be a dance at Jenner’s
Park each Saturday night hereafter,
until further notice, weather permitting.

The Ladies’ Unity club will meet

The Baptist ladies' aid society meets

W. F. Mason and wife left Tuesday
morning for Indiana, where they will
visit two or three weeks at Will’s old
home. Ou their retnrn they will visit
the St. Louis exposition.
Peter Moritz is said to be losing
ground very rapidly, and is now so en
feebled that he can no longer get out
much. Since 'his return from New
York a few weeks ago, the cancer in
his mouth has been making very rapid
progress.—Ravenna News.
A. P. Paulson gave us a pleasant call.
Tuesday, and ordered his paper sent to
to his daughter, Miss Rosa Paulson, at
Salinas, Calif. Mr. Paulson thinks his
loss of small grain by late storms will
be fully 90 per cent. But he takes his
misfortune with philosophical fortitude,

awav and broke his buggy to peices,

same act with another buggy, and suc

Frof. Mead had an argument with
his milk dispensary, Sunday, when the
bovine planted a remonstrance on the
top of his rignt foot, which placed the
professor hors du combat. He is now
making h ste slowly on a bunch ot

To all whom ij may concern:—
The commissioner appointed to view
a road commencing at Hoad No. 69. at
the southwest corner of section 9, town
ship 16, range 18, and running thence
south on section line between sections
1U and 17, 20 and 21. 28 and 29, to the
southwest corner of section 28, thence
east one mile, and terminating at the
southeast corner of section 28, all in
Sherman county, Nebraska, has report
ed hi favor thereof, and all objections
thereto or claims for damage must bo
tiled in the oilloe of the County Clerk
of Sherman county, Nebraska, on or
before noon of the 81st day of August,
1904, or said road will he established
without reference thereto
