The bazar held by the ladies of the Baptist church at Pilger's opera house last Saturdry afternoon and evening, was a pronounced success, as is always the case with anything the Baptist ladies undertake. Agent liner met with a painful accident last Sunday at home. He caught th* little finger of his left hand on a jagged nail, in handling a heavy box, the weight of which drove the nail to the bone and tore the flesh loose. There was some pretty work on both sides, worthy of extended mention, but space forbids tills week on account of press of news matter. The Ashton boys are a gentlemanly aggregation, with whom it is a pleasure to meet, and the game passed off in the most pleasing manner. Robt.
