ClrtsaiflCMM. Edited by Chnrrh Workers. An exchange says that Miss .Mae Phillips, an evangelist well known to many of our citizens, is conducting a revival in South Omaha. A wonderful interest has been arous ed where evange tat Enslow is holding meetings on Davis creek, there being conversions each night. And each night the church is full to overflowing. —North Loup Loyalist. Lecky snys that the simple record of three short years of Christ'if active life has done more to soften anti regenerate mankind than all the disquisitions of philosophers and all the exhortations of moralists.—Ord Journal Fifty peiple added their names to the membership roll of the Methodist church Sunday and quite a number more will join next Sunday. All the churches also received large additions to their membership as a result of the recent revivals,—Ord Quiz. Ord and Loup City have Itoth ex perienced a series of revivals the past two months and reports from both towns are to the effect that a greet deal of good has been clone. From the best information we can gather, both towns needed it bad enough —Arcadia Note* in Ord Journal. METHODIST CHURCH NOTES C. A Clark of Havenna, taught the advanced Jlihle class Sunday morning The Sunday school is growing very nicely iu all ways. There were 115 present and the collection amounted to A young convert s' meeting is held at the church every Monday evening at 7::i(>, great interest is shown and much good is accomplished here. The attendance Sunday morning was very good hut in the evening the con gregation was depleted somewhat be cause of the baptismal services at the Baptist church. The Ladies’ Aid society will hold its next meeting at the home of Mrs. T. L. l’ilger on .Wednesday, March Oth. All members are requested to attend these meetings whenever possible. Miss Edna Minshnll led the League Sunday evening instead of C. Tracy, who was unable to attend. The lesson on missions was much enjoyed. The next leson is. “Christ stilling thestorms of life’’ and will lie led hv Miss Cora Hollenbeck. Bev. John Madelv opened a series of revival meetings at the Wiggle creek school house Monday evening. His charge at that place has been asking for this for some time and although lie lias notrecoverd from the effects of the extra work caused liy the meetings here, he has decided to grant their re quest . The subject of Bev. Madely’s sermon Sunday morning was, “Present Bless ings,” and the text was found in Ex. 4 2. We have heard several say that after hearing such a sermon they would lie more careful and try and appreciate their blessings and opportunities more. His subject in the evening was, “Rec onciliation,” and it wn,s indeed a beauti ful word picture of the repentant sinner becoming reconciled to God. “I am in favor of patronizing the home merchant,"a farmer was heard to remark the other day. “He will take our produce and if we treat him right he will do as well hy us as tfife' mail order houses. We have one great advantage in dealing with tb? home merchant and that is, we can inspect his good-, and groceries before we buy them and if they don’t suit us we don't have to buy. I believe it is a good idea to see everything • you buy before you tHke it, because the samples those big de tant houses Bend out may not represent the bulk. Sometimes in sending off for goods, bungling mistakes are made and then you cannot help yourself. These meu from the distant cities do not care: your money is what they are after whether you are satisfied or not. Trade with the home merchant and you will be better satisfied in the end with yourself and every thing else.”—Wolbacb Advertiser. liOAI) NOTICE.
