The streets of Loup City were full of farm teams last Saturday, Mrs J. B O'Bryan was reported quite sick the last part of last week. Mrs. Parle Round of Arcadia was visiting in the city last Friday. T. M. Reed can make you a first class • woll, call on him if you want one Fritz, Kornrompf intends to moye to town to live in the near future. John Needham, of Austin made this office a friendly call last Wedensda>. The Keystone Lumber Co., shipped In on« car of lamber and one of post last week. Miss. Kattie Johansen now of Tipton, Iowa orders the Noktuwkstkun sent to her address. J, A Niles and Porter, i!, Curry of Huxley, were Loup City visiters last Saturday. W. J. Betts, of Illinois is here a gain buying up a car load of horses for the eastern market. He will soon ship. W. II. Kennedy, school tPdcher, and high ehle? counsel of the city of Austin was in town Saturday and Sunday. This is no sell. S. F. Reyholds, brought a yard of bologna to this office hoter than-,lhe Tiuies-Iudipeudent. John Carpenter has bought a farm in Iowa and will move there soon, We understand that his sons will work the farm here. Teacher’s from different partg of the county are requested to send in their monthly reports. We will publish them as a matter of news. The ice harvest Is about over, James Conger has tilled his own ice house which holds 175 tons and that of Ohlsen Bros , which holds 75 tons. Quarterly meeting at the M. E. Church was held last Saturday evening and Sunday morning,. Presiding Elder Crane of Kearney was present. The Royal Neighbor lodge of this city gave a dance at the close of their lodge hour last Tuesday evening. We learn that a pleasant time was had by all present. W. R Mellor and J. W. Long left last Tuesday morning for Fremout to attend the Real Estate Dealers associa tion convention which it holder) there this week. T. S. Nightingale followed on Wedeniday morning. A. O. Hendrickson of Litchfield, was in the city last week on business. We understand Mr. Hendrickson is going to farm his brother R. D. Hendrickson’s place this year, and that R. D and his parents will move into town. Tho ladies of the I). of II. at their regular meeting last Tuesday nignt re ceived and innitiated Miss. Ella Long. We understand that they also have four more candidates who will very likeiy be taken in at the next meeting. After the Lodge was over we joined with our sisters and assisted iu the distraction of a goodly supply of cake, ooffea uud other palatables. Through a mistake on the hand bills of Fred Scbadt the location was wrong. The sale will take place six and a half miles west and one half mile south of Loup City, or three quarters of a mile south of the Cleora Church. Mr. Schadt also desires us to say that in addition to the list of stock aud articles enumer ated on the bills, that he will offer for sale 500 bushels of corn and six tons of baled bay. The Royal Uighlanders publicly ins talled their officers at Society Ilall Monday night before 1 large crowd of invited gueats. The Areadia team of liighlanders were billed to do the work but failed to put in an appearance, hence, a little inconvenience was ex perienced in the start, until the home i Castle got matters adjusted. Mr. Sick inan of Aurora, the Chief Treasurer was present and acted as installing officer, after which be delivered a neat and touching address, on the question of friendly societies whirh was respond ed to by G. H. Gibson by invitation After the exercises fruit was passed, ; then the floor was cleared and a social dance was enjoyed until midnight The Revenna Creamery Co. If there is such differ nee in the value pf the two qua itlss of cream, it is a strong argument in favor of tbn separa tor Mr. Clark says there is no mistake about It, he would much rather have the separated cream at 25 cents than to pay 18 cents for hand skimmed cream. Stauzyk and family, Mr. and Mrs Nick Sobinski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gee. Gibson, Ignats Janulewicz, Frank Sobinski and Frank. Sivvomki. Mr. OtlowsUi and daugh ters are pleasant entertainers, and when the noon hour arrived a repast that would tickle the palate of an epicure was spread ar.d the guests did ample justice to it. County Judge Angier reports the following marriages since our last issue, he having officiated in both cases: On February 10th, 1902 Mr. Milton Uotek and Miss Barbria Erit were married at the office of the county Judge in this city.
