last Friday evening to preiare the body
of Patrick : Dunn for bural. He return!
to Crawford the next morning.
Mrs. James Nolan and Nora Niece were
in from Eckurd last H.iturday. Miss
Niece is teaching school in district 3U
where she has yet two more weeks.
Miss Ednn Brown who went east with
her parents a lew weeks figs, returned to
Harrison Tuesday morning, Hor many
friends will be pleased to know that her
health is improved.
Lucy Moravek left on Monday evening

Rev McNabb, of Cot Ion wood precinct,

ing and on Saturday went to Uodarc
where he conducted service on Sunday.
l-Mrs. Tom Dredge arrived from Omaha
last Friday, where she had been for
medical treatment. We are pleased to
slate that her health is much improved.

was in this city on legal business Monday
Both gentleman were pleasant callers at
this oflice.
Geo. Turner returned last Thursday
morning from the Excelsior Springs in
Missouri, Ilia health is much improved
to what It was when he left here a few
weeks ago.

these were sent to our stibsorilstrs in the
counties within the lines of the boundary
of the 010 acre homestead law. A great
many inquiries in regard to this law has
been made of laid and we used this
method of giving our readers as early
and oa much information as possible.

Patrick F. 1 Hmn was !srn in Ireland
and came to t lie United stales when he

New York, where he hvd for several
years. He helied to build the Erie ('anal
anr in the ye tr of till he moved to Colora
do where he lived until lie came to this
state. He wa married in Is-'iH to Marger
ttt Lacy who died at Iioiilder Colo., in
1"'JT. Eleven children were liorn to this
union, eight of which were living. Mr.
Dunn came to Sioux county in 18 where
he has since been engaged in stock rais
ing. He was n man that w as highly re
siected by all. and theentire community
morn the loss by his death. S of his child
ren, Joseph, Patrick, Philip, Richard and
Lizzie, was present at the time of his
death, The three other children two
daughters and one son who reside in
Cjlorado. were unable to tie here. The
remains were brought to Harrison on Sat
urday morning and shipped to Boulder
Colorado where they w ill he buried lie
side the remains of his wife and other
chiHren. His son and daughter, Philip
and Lizzie went on the sume train that
conveyed ti e body of the deceased. Mr
Dunn will be greatly missed by the many
friends in this vicinity and the bereaved
have the heart-left sympathy of all.
Next Monday, the 27tli, is annual
school meet iug. and every patron and
elector should be present, an4 see that
the r'ruH-r amount of tax is levied and
that the proper people are elected to
represent you.

D. M. Sutton, who with his family
went to Iowa nlout three months ago,
bus returned to Harrison. Mr. Sutton,
we learn, will locale again somewhere in
this part of the state. J I is family will

pAnna Margaret Miller died at. her home
on Soldier creek on June 3 iOiH She
was born in Onrmany en Dec. ii lK.r7.
She came to America when she wns 27
years of age, and was married to Herman
E. Miller at Millet Nchr. on July 15 lsO?,
and lias resided in S oux county v r
since. The services were held at the
. 'oti(-regat ional church at, Crawford by
Itey. Scliultx of the German Lutheran
chr.rch of which Mrs. Miller was a faith
ful member during her life.

Anton Kratz made a business trip to
Harrison one day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Carey made a business
trip to Hat Creek Valley the 20th.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fellers made a short
visit over at Joe Rose one day this wee!;,

ing ready to dip their cattle to-morrow.
Mr. and Mis. Groves were pleasant

We understand there is a picnic report

Star Sunday School next Sunday every

Mrs. Emma Rice is expected on the
cotton wood, her many friends will be

Henry Nortnass who is working for Mr,
Peterson on Soldier creek made his
parents a visit Sunday.
