Some Plain Facts.
Crave error?, injustice, wrongs of
greater or less degree, arise from lack
of knowledge of the truth, and more
frequently from deception.
The most infamous case on record
of deception and injustice is the at
tempt to demonetize silver as a money
of final redemption in the United
States.
'I here is no learned judge, skilled
lawyer, or court of justice that is
capable of reconciling the effort with
the constitutional laws that govern
the i;,sue of money in this country.
The people have been deceived,
officials in power, chosen to adminis
ter justice under the laws, have
ignored their sworn duty, and given
aid to the scheme that has paralyzed
industry, reduced property values
one-half, and beggared millions.
There is no authority of Lw, either
specific or by inference, by which
gold alone is made the only money
with which to discharge debt3, either
public or private. The effort to
make it so is unconstitutional and 4
national calamity.
Plain and ample information, facts,
and truth, concerning this almost suc
cessful scheme to corner the wealth
of the people, is now being printed
in the Cincinnati Enquirer, a news
paper which the combined power of
money has failed to muzzle or buy.
The Weekly Enquirer is only 75c
a year. The address is
Enquirer Company, Cincinnati, O.
once, a peace envoy t treat with tho
aggreaved red men of the North and
give them to understand that if the
president and his cabinet of the republic
of Chadron will Ikj spared, that all oth
er hostile acLs will oe condoned even to
the burning in effigy of Co'. Muher, who
was so recently engaged in tha battle of .
pork and beans near the province of
Harrison, a fortified out-post of Chad
ron republic. Of course, there is no dan
ger of this city being rapt uml by the
enemy first, it is well fortified with
wooden block houses got Un up under
fie iiiervision of the war depnrtement
of Harrison composed of such men as
Cap. Oerd. Oriswold, Maj. Marsteller.
Agt. Davis, (ap. I'ontius and rear Ad
miral Kohwer, who with all the forces
that could lie mustered for the conflict,
fought the force of Cop. General West
over and his able aidecamp, General
Fisher, who brought up the rir and so
effectually flanked the Harrison force
that they were finally, after a long and
fearful contest obliged to capitul
