Bctwreful how you vote. Dm fail to vote for the proposed mewan.eots to the constitution, as their adoption will save the expense of a con titOoaal convention. Vote for Tuttle for representative and yon will vote for the interests of oorth- . Nebraska. "Vote for Ely for senator for he will so conduct himaelf as to be reected by his aociates, instead of being ridiculed by them. Yb for Cad y for congress and thus Avoid tending a man there who would disgrace tlie district because be cannp eoatrol bit appetite. . Xay suaa who has been a republican in the past and thinks he will voU for Bryan will iindi he has simply wasted fata vote. McKinley will be elected and il anight as well get into tlie baud r!oa WtMat haa been going up and silver tM been going down. T1m Hiatal in a silver dollar is now worth less than 50 cents, but silver dollars still go for their face, because people know that thsiy are backed up by gold. Tlie silver fellows have stopped talking about wheat and si.Vjr eoing up or down to gether. It a year after the "crime of 167tn that Senator Stewart made this Utterance: "The question never will be wet tied until you determine the simple ejUOTtmi whether tb laboring man is ejej titled to have a gold dollar if he earns it, or whether you are going to cheat him with something else." If you don't believe it, see Congressional Record, Jttwe 13, 1874, page MOfc-Kearoey Mm. . Chairman Hanoa, of the republican ntiooal committee, put an end to the ejbarge tint employee were lieing coerced into the support of McKinley. He Issued a statement that the eoti remit twtjry of the republican committee is At the disposal of any ooe for the pmae ctatioe. of any employer who is suspected jf attempting to coerce an employee, Ms he further offered to co-operate with Ue Rational democratic committee la protectios; employees in tlie free and unfettered exercise of their franchise. He further said that if Mr. Jooe or Mr. Bryan know or had information of coercion they were equally guilty with the employers in not reporting the same for prosecution. Now if an ooe knows of a case of a voter beinc coerced into Sipport of McKioley, don't whine about It, but take steps to nave the guilty party punished. Do you remember over having asked lawyer some unusual legal proposition that he did not first have to consult MM authority before answering? It is .jaM that boforo Chauncy Depew was ev wr heard of outside of a small circle of wOqaaiataacea, that the elder Venderhilt, laving some question for which to de al rod a quick answer, and was unable to vst il from his lawyers, by chance met Dtpow, and neotiooed the subject prees ing oa bio mind. The problem was solved for him as easy and quickly a A,B, C, and it proved to be the tide that lad M to fortune for Mr. Depew. His taksat had raa him oa to one who was ts wtilias it profitably to both of vot tram are men who denounce anas Mr. Dspew as enemies to country, aad all hscausa ho ad tho talent that eaaMed him to rm asahrs Ms fellow men. There is an f?mn- M tho population that would re UMsfa3 mm won igaoramuaM as rMH niwiilvoa, but uaUl tutors t a sjasMO.tM earth to coaso revolving l fca m, tls uadsakbls fact wUl re t' t I all bm caaaot ho eqoal ia f jar la tact or wesOtk-iJUaaco If Bryan is so cock sure of being elect ed why does the price of si I r or keep Co- iog down? After next Tuesday business will be pin to be the occupation of the people, but it will not umium ita normal propor tions until after McKinley moves into the White House on the 4th of March, lt7. One of the signillcant straws as to how the el tioo will go is tlie jiost.il card vote of the Chicago Record. It shows almost beyond a doubt that the working iun are for McKmlry. It is hoped that tlie men who compose the nvxt legislature will Itave brains enough to amend tiie election laws in sonut particulars, do matter what party they represent. The copy for the ballots was re-eived here at noon on Saturday and to t;et the Iwllut in nkape, print it and still give the county clerk time 10 send it sixty miles across the country to some of the polling places. A great many of the laws of tlie state are all right for tho counties near tlie capital where the railroads run in all directions, but are very inconvenient for the coun ties at a distance, especially large ones w here great distance have to be made by team. Toe election law shoulJ be so amended that all copy for ballots should be in tlie hands of tlie clerks of the vari ous counties not less than twenty days before election, and not even the courts have a right to delay it beyond tliat time. Before another issue of Till Jocbnal tlie election will liave passed and tlie country will be relieved from tlie ftrain under which it lias been struggling for months and people will liave an oppor tunity to ugain devote their attention to business. So far as the result is con cerned that is settled now, fur nothing of an ordinary nature could be done in the days remaining which would change the sentiment of enough of tlie voters to make any difference. So far as such a thing can be certain before the votes are counted, it is certain that McKinley will be elected by a large number of electoral votes, and from all that can be learned from tlie most reliable sources Nebrvka will elect the MiKinley electors, and the entire republican state and congressional ticket. H was considered a doubtful state up to a very short time nco, but the change in sentiment has become so marked that tlie above statement is practically admitted by nil, so that any who may liave contemplated voting for the combination ticket, in part or as a whole, will realize that they will simply throw their vote away. final Proof Set lew.
