A raid was made on the bachelor
quarters of W. 15. Marstellcr on Monday
evening by u number of his friends.
Will was completely taken by surprise
hen in answer to a rap at the door be
saw a good-sized party awaiting admis
sion. He soon recovered from his sur
prise sullirieiit ly to dii ail in his power
to entertain his guests. Candy, nuts,
fruit ami lemonade were served and a
merry time had. Th ladies each pre

mental article to brighten up his lonely
bachelor den and it may be that they
w ill cause him to appreciate what be

some one to care for him.
