the acquaintances of the contracting
parties, as not even the near relatives of
the bride knew the wedding was to oc-
ur until the evening before. The cere
mony was witnessed hy only a few of
the near relatives, after which an ele
gant supper was served which had been
prepared hy the bride prior to the ar
rival of the clergyman and guests.
Hoth the bride and groom are well and
favorably known to a large number of
people, having resided here for some
years, and the former at one time pre
sided over one of the departments of the
Harrison school. Their many friends
