-J nm DIG, DL9BBSB HO BOO G0G!I CROWING FOR VICTORY. MUD RINGERS ON TOP. THE FARMERS OF SIOUX COUNTY ARE THE PEOPLE. OUR PEOPLE REJOICE OVER THE RESULT OF TUESDAY'S ELECTION. WHOOP LAI!! NEW JUDGE, NEW SHERIFF AND NEW EVERYTHING. THE ENTIRE REPUBLICAN PEOPLE'S TICK ET ELECTED BY FROM 50 TO 150 MAJORITY. MONTROSE Oho Gives the Republican People's Ticliot 65 Straight Votes out of 77 Votes Cast, AND THEREBY TAKES THE CAKE, BAKERY AND ALL THE GERMANS VOTE SOLID AND THE RING RULE IS ROUTED. BLUFF, BUDGE AND BOODLE h) NOT SAVE THE GANG. A SOBER COURT AND HONEST COUNTY OF FICIALS WILL RESULT. JHI FIRST A ND OXLY ELECTION HELD IN THE COUNTY NOT CONTROLLED BY INTIMIDATION BOODLE 17 THE BOSS. Election day in Sioux county wm as fine a day aa those who desired to see a big vote.could deaire. At an early hour the workers for both aides began to aemUe at the polling place in the vari ous precincts and all preparations were maae for an earnest struggle for suprem acy. The canvass of the county bad oeen tnorougti and the people were aroused to the impo ranee of the situation and it was expected that a full vote would be cast, but judging from the re turns not to exceed a four-fifths vote was cast This was due to the fact that many of the voting precincts , include a large amount of territory and it waa al most out of the question for some of the settlers to get to the polls. At some of the voting places a little hot blood waa aroused, but no blood waa sned and in most places good feeling pre vailed. The fusionista were confident that they would be success uL The can- ditates on that ticket had made a person al canvass and each felt confident that be waa the one man on the fusion ticket who would be elected, for each had worked for his personal success and ex pected support from men who would not support the balance of the ticket Toe candidates on the republican people's ticket bad also made a canvass of the county but they bad worked for the en tire ticket and the result was that their estimate of the vote was much nearer correct than could possibly have been made had each man been working for his own individual interests. The candidates on the fusion ticket had secured men to work for individual man d a good supply of liquor and cigars was also not far distant from the polls, but all their plans would not avail for the people bad made up their minds what to do on election day and no power on earth could change them. The Ger mans of Sioux oountv have out tham- on record to the effect that their votes cannot be bought or controlled by furn ishing them liquor, and in future whan a politician asserts that he can control the German vote with beer, the people of that nationality will be pretty apt to go gainst him. . The result of the election is highly pleasing to the settlers of Sioux county and it cannot but be the means of stimu lating the settlement of the count sad consequent general prroperity. The returns are ail ia the bands of tkft county clerk and will be canvassed of ficially on Saturday. The footinn from all the precincts exosnt Cotton ovuwl have been reported at this office. Sheep Ctak preciact beid no election as there was- tot enough legal voters in it to or gmsiae an aieetion board. The report from Cottonwood precinct is to the effect that the candidates on the rtfmbloM people's ticket got about fif teen majority, sxospt Mdy, who U said to have run behind in the precinct about flvsor tea votes, which stilt leaves a majority for Ksidy of over fifty if the Tba following ia the result of the as reported to us and the figures pnctically comet, but any error wtue. mav occur will be corrac-ted in our text issue which will contain Um oHUial txm vass of the vote: nunm Precinct.
