The Republican has Vieen purchased by P. nvis and the outlit is now located in Mr. Tulib's building, second door south of the JotHNAJL office. We publish a notice of change in firm of the Mont rose Store. Mr. M. J. Ga v hart, we understand, will remain to greet his many friends and customers as before. Should this judicial district lie divided, as is now proposed, we understand that W. W. Wood, of Rushville, is talked of as judge for this distrut A better se lection could not be made. Mr. Edward Martm, formerly of Cass county, arrived in Harrison Tuesday and will take land, probably near his brother Henry, south of tiwn. He is exceeding ly well pleased with the country like all others who view it. Mr. S. Woods, of Atkinson, father of Jud Woods foreman of the Herald office, arrived here Tuesday. He is well pleased with the country and thinks our future will be a bright and prosperous one. He intends returning home today. The question of the annexation of Can ada and also of the removal of the np til rrom Washington is being agitated by some of the papers. The former question should 1 settled Osf.
