Walker, one of the best- known citizens of Omaha, died at his home in this city on Saturday, April 25, 189fi, of Brlght's disease. lie had been falling lh health for two years, growing weaker every day, but never found it necessary to go to bed until the Thursday before his death. The funeral occurred Monday, and was under the direction of the Masonic order. The G. A. R. attended in a body, and witnessed the Interment at Prospect HIIL Mr. Walker leaves a wife and one son to mourn his demise, who will have the sympathy of a large number of our citizens. News comes to us from St. Joseph, Mo., that our old friend, Dr. G. A. Fle- genbaum, one of the charter members and the first vloe-Presldent of A. P. A Council No. 6, of Omaha, died in that city on April 27th, after operation to provide an external opening by whloh to Introduce food into the stomach the asophagus having been constricted and finally entirely closed by causes whloh ba filed all medical science to a certain or relieve until the post mortem examination revealed the presence of two malignant fibrald tumors, one at each extremity of the asophairus. which had grown so as to close it en tireiy ana were not accessible to an operation and no treatment could have relieved him. Death resulted in 24 hours after. He leaves a wife and two children. Friend Flegenbaum was well and favorably known in this city, having practloed medicine here a num ber of years.
