I do now denounce aad disown any alleg iance as due to any heretical king, prince or state named Protestant or Liberals or obedience to any of their laws, magistrates or officers. This oath the candidate is abjured to keep at the hazzard of his life. It was printel in the Chicago Inter Ocean and was sworn to be correct at the Cronln trial.
