If the bill (lied In the Circuit court on May 2.'ld by Attorney General Mo loney should fulfill It object, the fcervlle Misters, who have been practi cally outside the pale of the Catholic church for ronio years past will soon bo compelled to yield up the fine property, valued at about .'(X),(XK) and accumu lated chiefly through tho donations of publlo charity, which they hold at West Van Huron street and Albany avenue. Alleged Improper conduct and gross misappropriation of funds form the ground-work of tho proceeding. Tho mother superior, whoso lay nnme Is Elizabeth Cooling, and who has had the title of the property placed In her own name, contrary to ecclesiastical dis cipline, Is charged with Improper re lationship with one J. A. McDonald, music professor, of No. 02 Loomlsstrcot, to the great scandal and injury of the In stitution. It appears that on account of the scandals Archbishop Feehan en deavored to persuade tho mother superior to deed the property Intrust to some good person, and to withdraw from the institution, but she rt-fused, and sold some of the property, devoting the proceeds to her personal use. It is claimed that sho will further deplete the property and destroy it value un les the court Interfere and places the property a a publlo trust In charge of responsible and reputable persons. At torney General Moloney claim that while the proceedings in thl case are not In accordance with the statutory provision governing his official duties, the common law compels him to act as he la doing in the caso. The suit is taken at the Instance of Sister Veronica, who was expelled from the institution as recalcitrant and who claims a sum of (25,000 as due hor by ?ho institution for services rendered. Sister Gortrudo, another member of tho Servlte order, came to Attorney General Moloney's ofllco yesterday to protest against tho suit, but was promptly ordered out. Tho bill was filed late In the afternoon and the writs placed In the hands of the shorifT for Immediate service. ChU-MO Inter Ocean, Iusprrt the Convents.
