The L.Uori news tlrr yi that France will atU ami hold BattjunlwiiR anil Angkor an puar ii1ihw that her di'inaniU will beaatinficl. The Temps hvi that tho beginning f the blockade will Ik deferred until Thursday or Friday, to enable Franco to take tho Btcj prmTilxjd by lntrna tional law. Utwidea the blockade, mili tary operations will tie oined shortly. The details of them operations are still undetermined. They will be settled at cabinet council in a day or two. Stei will be taken in Indo-China towards erions action immediately after the ar rival of the battalion of the foreign lega tion. The second portion of this bat talion started from Marseilles Sunday. The native militia will be reorganized, and together with the imported com panies of the foreign legion, will co operate with the force already in active ervice in the Khong district. The Des Debates says that Siam, as a rich producing country, probably, does not fear greatly the blockade. As for the operations on land, The Des Debates thinks the Siamese will be supplied by England with all the arms they need. The majority of the Paris newspapers devote as much space to the denuncia tions of England as to the matter of the Siamase trouble, England is reproached toy all the French newspapers. The extreme conservative radical newspapers abstain from discussing the situation. They are holding back so as to denounce the government in case the Siamese venture proves a fizzle. A dispatch from Rome says that Italy has asked England to protect Italian subjects in Siam. The Siamese secretary of the legation ays upon seeing Pavie embark, the Siamese government may decide to ac cept the terms of the ultimatum. This upiKition, however, was merely per sonal and did not rest on any definite in formation. The Liberte says that the French gun tooatn will probably go down the river, shell and destroy the Paknam forts, and then return to their position before Bangkok to bombard the palace. English Editorial Comments. London, July 25, The Times says ditorially England's main object in the matter is against making British And French possessions in Asia con terminous. If she so desired Bhe might warn France of the danger she is run ning by reminding her of the Tonquin fiasco." The Daily News comments at length on the opinion prevalent in the German press, that a squabble between France and England over Siam would be advan tageous to Germany, and expresses tho "belief that such a squabble would afford a rest to the historic fire-eaters on both sides of the Vosgos. The Standard's loader on France and Siam contains this passage: "Tho terms that France is trying to impose on Siam would be undefendable in any court of international morality. The remarkable xp6rionce, which we gainod from the occupation of Tunis, of the methods of French diplomacy, forbids us to accept too confidingly the published program of the Qual d' Ursuy. It is the Earl of Itosoberry's duty to tell France plainly, that she is pledged to respect the inde pendence of this buffer state. We can not remain inactive in the face of Franco's preparations for contrary action." In conclusion, the Standard says: "The cynical tone of the German press is a much safer guide for M. Devllle than are the acclamations of Paris cafos." Gornmny Would II I'lMd. Behun, July !J5. The Tagblatt says that Germany would be ploosod should France s over-reaching spirit coubo seri -ous complications in Asia. Nor would the German government be disturbed, adds The Tagblatt, if the present trouble resulted in a rivalry in eastern Asia bo tween France and Great Britian. Financial Clan Adoptod.
