Viele unserer Osfiziere sind ohne medizinisched oder wund ärztliches Material. Aerztliche Kennt nis ohne Meditamente und Instru mente nützen nichts. »Schon haben wir viele Krankheits siille, sorgen aber siir die Patienten nach besten Kräften. Ein Entbin dungshospital ist in Dahton Biew er richtet und tm Gerichtsgebiiude haben wir unter äußersten Schwierigkeiten ein Notsallhospital eingerichtet, ebenso kin Hospital für ansteckende Krankhei en.« « Die Stadt ist in sechs Sanitätss distritte eingeteilt worden, deren jedes unter Kommando eines Ossiziers des Sanitiitstorps steht. Da mehrere Wochen vergehen werden, ehe das Kloalenshstem wieder funktioniert, wird ein starkes Korpö Männer sür die Beseitigung der Absälle und ge eignete Desinseltion der Wohnhäuser sorgen. Die Bürger werden durch überall angeschlagene Plakate belehrt, wie sie am besten die öffentliche Ge sundheit wahren können. Kaffee wird über Kerzen gekocht, aber andere Nahrung wird talt ge gessen. Es giebt kein Gas und wenig Kohlen. l Dayton, 28. März. Es ift un möglich, bestimmte Nachrichten über die Bewohner der überfluteten Di ftritte zu bringen. Sobald die gefundenen Leichen identifiziert wer den, werden die Namen durch die Presse bekannt gemacht. Gefchäftsleute brachten heute wei tere 810,000 für den Hilfsfonds auf. Der Stadtrat hat heute Jbend eine Sitzung abgehalten, um 8100,000 anzuweisen.
