Tlie decision of Judge Hall -at Lin
coln ordering Grand Ma3ter Tate to
call the regular annual grand lodge
session of the A. O. U. NV., suits the
several hundred members of that or
der in Plattsmouth immensely. They
see in it a chance, at least, to secure
someone besides Czr Tate as grand
master. The czar has a faculty of be
stowing his favors in such a manner
as to tnaUe solid his election from year
to year, but at last there is some re
lief iu sight.

T.ie celebration of St. Patrick's day.
iiven Saturday evening at V.'hite'a
hall under the auspices of the A.O.H.,
was a most delightful success. The
musical number." given wre highly ap
preciated, while the lecture bv Father
Nugent was all that hi friends could
vi.-"i. It wis largely historical, and
inder ordinary handling would have
been dry. but the skillful oratory of
the lecturer gave it a life, piquancy
and vividness wh'ch made the recital
very entertaining, and when he came
to the descriptive portions the lecturer
was both elequent and pathetic in Ids
word-painting. The Jokexal hopes
that the orator-priest may often be
heard in tins city.
