two weeks. Mr. Coryell is editor and
proprietor of the Hebron Journal, one
of the best-known republican organs
in southern Nebraska.

Information from Lincoln is to the
effect that Mrs. W. II. Shrjock of
Louisville, this county, has won her
fcuit against the Modern Woodman
Accident Insurance association. The
jury was out forty-live hours and
finally returned with a verdict in the
plaintiff's favor for $",oir..3 the full
amount sued for. The same suit was
tried in Lincoln a few months ago,
but the jury disagreed. Judge Sullivan
of this city conducted Mrs. Shrjock's
suit.

forming big drills. At other points
the sand was piled up on the tracks in

Missouri river. Surveyor Dean is now
at work on a new Burvey of the river
ine across this county. Such a survey

the intervening years the fickle old
atream has swiped a good many acres
of rich Mills couuty soil and carried it
across and down the river. In a few
pluces land has been formed on this
side notably in the north part of
l'littevilletownship,and it is to enable
lb assessors to get proper descrip
tions of the land that the new survey
was ordered. Mr. lean has not yet
completed the work, but estimates
that the result will show that the
county has four or five thousand acres
less than it had ten years ago. Glen-
