at the Kani hospital, is holding her
own very vli after the terrible
turns that she sustained Saturday at

City, formerly Miss Jeanette Weber
of this city, is here to enjoy a visit
at. the home of her sister, Mrs. Henry
Starlijohn, as well as at Bellevue
with her sisters, Mrs. Frank Schiele,
and Mrs. S. W. Stefen. Mrs. Blackard
is also a niece of Mr. and Mrs. L. B.
Egenberger and Mrs. Mary Week-bach.
DEPART ON VACATION
RETURNS FROM CAMP
George Jacobs, who has been spend
ing the past week at the Boy Scout
camp near Lincoln has returned
home. George had a very pleasant
time and made many acquaintances
among the boys who were at the
camp. The time was filled with
much interesting Scout work and
exercise to make an ideal outing.
Dr. and Mrs. O. C. Hudson and
children. Bryce. Jean, Shirley, and
Joyce Kay left Monday afternoon
for an outing of ten days or two
weeks to be spent In Colorado and
adjoining states. The Plattsmouth
party expect to visit Estes Park In
Colorado and the Yellowstone na
ilonal park as well as other scenic
spots In that part of the country.

of the passing- of her mother. Mrs
. I. Oakes in Salem, Nebraska. Mrs
Oakes has ben in very poor health
for a number of months, she suffer
ing from a severe heart disease. She
passed away on Friday; July 14.
Funeral services for Mrs. Oakes
were held this morning at Salem,
Nebraska, with the interment made
in that city.
UNDERGOES OPERATION
Mrs. George W. Olson is recovering
at the University hospital from the
effects of a third oneration that has
been performed to remove a tumor
from which she has been a sufferer.
Mrs. Olson was quite weak from the
operation and required a blood trans
fusion. Her condition was reported
as being as well as possible under the
circumstances.
JUDGE LEAVES FOR VACATION
