POCKET AND WRIST WATCHES M.00 to 3.95 ALARM CLOCKS 1.00 to 52.95 - LOOK FOR sSzr&sS ON THE DIAL Early Congress Adjournment is Being Favored Session to Continue Until at Least June 1st Is Foreshadowed by the Members. LINCOLN, May 20 (UP) Several legislators said today they saw little possibility of final adjournment be fore June 1. They pointed out that the general appropriations bill likely will con sume most of next week. Debate is expected to center on (tie amount to be appropriated for state assist ance and for the University of Ne braska and the state teacher's col leges. Previously members had hoped to wind up the session by next week end. Two factors that will have much to do with determining the adjournment date are the weather and how much farther- the legislature goes into the sifting file, representing a selection by each member of a bill for prefer ed consideration. If the weather is hot there will be a tendency to cut short. Twenty-seven of the forty-three preferred bills have yet to be con sidered. Among these are Senator Sorrell's agrol bill exempting farm machinery from the gasoline tax, and the state civil service bill. "If the members are going to in sist on considering their pet bills," Senator Edwin Schultz remarked, "we won't be going home until Labor Day." Schultz is chairman of a committee authorized to arrange an adjournment date. He said he saw no advantage in calling his committee together un til the budget is past the contro versial stage.
