Jr. ATTENDED LEAGUE MEETING From Monday'8 Dally Elmer Webb attended a meeting of the executive and legislative com mittees of the League of Nebraska Municipalities in Lincoln yesterday. Continuing its neutral policy as re gards L. B. 185, the League legisla tive committee is making every ef fort to secure passage of its bills 168 and 170, which provide condem nation rights against the public pow er districts by cities similar to those permitted against the private com panies and also provide for payment of a sum equivalent to former taxes received from the private company, as well as requiring a franchise for operation in any town, in which a schedule of maximum rates shall be provided. Regardless of whether 185 (the vote requirement measure) is passed, the League officials feel the safe guards of their two bills as to fran chise, tax payments and condemna tion rights are highly important. All power bills (168, 170, 185 and 190) were set for consideration by the legislature at 10 o'clock today, but postponed until this afternoon. There appears probability of passage of 168 and 170 with minor amend ments, and the real fight to come up on 185. TP PB1 PAID FOB POULTRY .
