Swatek of Lin coln were week-end visitors here at the home of Mr. Swatek's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Swatek. Mr. and Mrs. E. II. Bernhardt had as week-end visitors J. W. Noaecker, brother of Mrs. 'Bernhardt and Miss Maxine Hlnz of Grand Island, Ne braska. Robert G. Reed, who was here visiting with his family the past week, departed Sunday night for Chicago to look after some business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Jensen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sharp and family of Omaha were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ilackenberg. Mr. and Mrs. L. B. EgenUerger had as Sunday guests their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. A. II. Egen- berger and sons, Buddy and Ber nard of Omaha. Charles Berry, foreman In the Soil Conservation Service in the CCC camp at Beatrice, was a week-end visitor here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Laase. Mr. and Mrs. William Tillman, of Denver, former residents of Union, are visiting Mrs. Tillie Clugey, a sis ter of Mrs. Tillman, in this city, and have been visiting relatives and friends in Union. J. W. Philpot and son, Dale, of Nchawka, as well as Wallace Thil pot and B. L. Philpot of Weeping Water were in Plattsmouth Satur day, where they were called on some matters of important business. Mr. and Mrs. George Glass and Mr. Ralph Duncan returned to Plattsmouth Sunday after spending several days in Missouri, where they were visitors and guests of Mr. Dun can's parents as well as ether rela tives and friends. From Tuesday's Dally- Herman Reichstadt motored to Omaha Monday where he spent the ORGANIZE CLUB A group of Plattsmouth girls met at the Recreation " Center on Fri day, March 10, 1939, and formed an organization for girls' . sports In Plattsmouth. This club will function under the name of Plattsmouth Girls' Athletic club. The officers elected were Edith Solomon, president, and Gertrude Vallery, secretary-treasurer.
