It was a mixed dairy and beef. There are eight members. The local leader is Richard Spangler. The following officers were elected: Le Roy Topliff, president; Charles Spangler, vice-president; Mary Kath ryn Sporer, secertary; Charlene Spangler, news reporter. We would like more baly beef members. Second Meeting Saturday, February. 18, the new club had their first lesson. They chose "Milk and Beef for Health" for their name. An excellent lesson was given by Richard and we are sure every mem ber will try to follow his instruc tions. Apples and cookies were served. After the metting the members looked over Chailes and Charlene's calves. The next meeting will be at the home of Richard Spangler, 2 p .m. March 4. CHARLENE SPANGLER, - News Reporter. The committee from the east side has ar ranged to present a sketch similar to the well known radio "Battle of the Sexes," in which the men and women are given the opportunity of answering questions and determining which of the groups is the more adept. The ladies are challenging the men and their team has already been selecteil to take part and should cover the field in excellent manner. The ladies who are to take part are Xlrs. Katherine Howard, Mrs. Jennie Wiles, Mrs. Alice .Perry, Mrs. Vivian Hild and Miss Grace Louise Wiles. The men that will team in the contest are being kept a secret, the program chairman states, ' and changes may be made at the last min ute if any dark horses at answering questions is revealed. LEAVE FOR THE SOUTH Sunday Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Palmer departed on a motor trip to .the south which will take them as far as Miami, Florida, where they are planning on a short visit.
