The ceremony was performed In front of an improvised altar in the living room which was decorated with wtite chrysanthemums, fern and silver bells. Ixvely nuptial selections includ ing "My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice" (Saint-Saens) and the traditional wedding marches were played by Miss Corrine Hallstrom of Avoca, Neb., a cousin of the bride. Miss Kathleen Propst". only sister of the bride, was the maid of honor (wearing a becoming dress of white net over taffeta with a white net halo. Her flowers were red roses arranged in an old fashioned bouquet. The junior bridesmaid, little Miss Jill Johnson, wore a full t skirted white net frock and a white tulle bow in her hair. She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses. Dr. McPhaul was the best man for his son, the bridegroom. The bride, who was escorted by her father was lovely in her wed ding gown of white satin made on princess lines with long sleeves and a high ne:kline. Her fingertip length veil of rose paint lace fell from a Juliet cap and her only ornaments were a locket belonging to her ma ternal grandmother and a strand of pearls. She carried a bouquet of bride's roses and valley lilies. The bride's mother, Mrs. Propst. selected a dubonnet lace model and a corsase of Talisman roses. xs they made their home Sc mber of years. The bride has made her home in this city for the past two years. Mr. McPhaul, a native of Char lotte, N. C, attended preparatory school and later was graduated from the University of North Carolina where he was a member of the Delta Taul Delta fraternity.
