FOOTBALL TEAM QUESTS
Trom "Wednesday's Daily
The members of the football squad
of the Plattsmouth high school will
attend the show tonight as guest3
of G. G. Griffin, manager of the
theater. Mr. Griffin has secured a
special picture in honor of the boys
who will attend in a body. There
will be about sixty-five or seventy
boys, first team players and all re
serves, as well as several of the
faculty and the coach, Bion Hoff
man. The boys are sure to enjoy the
picture an4 appreciate very much the
act of Mr. Griffin.
ATTEND EXTENSION MEETING

Mrs. John C. Woest, Mrs. Short,
Mrs. Richard Beverage and Mrs. J. R.
Reeder were in Weeping Water yes
terday where they attended a meet
ing of the extension club chorus held
there.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
Mrs. Robert Painter was taken to
Omaha Tuesday morning where she
entered the Clarkson hospital and
will undergo an operation in a few
days, it is expected.
BETUBN FROM OUTING
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Born have
returned home after spending several
days visiting at Crofton," Plainyiew,
and Randolph with relatives and
friends. Much more snow had fallen
in those parts and it was colder than
here. Some places crops were good.

HAS TONSILLOTOMY

tonsilectomy this morning at the
Clarkson hospital in Omaha.

Mrs. Glen Vallery. who has been
at an Omaha hospital recuperating
from a recent operation, has so far
recovered that she was able to be
brought t home today and will now
rest at the family home. The many
friends of Mrs. Vallery are pleased
to have her back home and to know
that she has showed such excellent
progress from her illness and operation.
HEBE FROM LINCOLN
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Murphey and
little daughter, Vesta Lee, were here
Sunday to visit at the home of Mrs.
Murphey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil
liam A. Robertson. They had brought
Miss Rachel Robertson home from
the university for a short visit. The
entire party departed Sunday eve
ning for their home in the capital
city.

left this morning: on the Burlington

their studies at Kemper military

VISIT OMAHA SUNDAY

Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Waller and
Miss Lydia Pitz spent yesterday in
Omaha at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
G. E. Ray. Miss Phyllis Ray return
ed with them last evening to spend
the week here.
HEINZE SEEMS WINNER
On the face. of. the unofficiol vote
in the first congressional district,
George H. Heinke, of Nebraska City,
seems to be the choice for the con
gress post over Congressman Henry
C. Luckey. With all precincts in for
the district Heink-led Luckey by
383 votes. The mail and sick and ab
sentee ballots remain yet to count.
