INJURES KNEE
' ' Ray Ilitt, small son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles KItt received treatment ,
yesterday at the offices of Dr. L. S. j
Pucelik for an Injured knee. The
small boy was playing on a wagon
when a wheel came ofl', throwing him
to the sidewalk. He received a deep
jagged gash on his right knee which
required four stitches.
PURCHASES NEW DOG
HERE FROM CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Mary Sprechcr and grand
son. Lawrence Sprecher, Jr., of Los
Angeles, are visiting here and In
Omaha with the relatives and old
friends. They were in the city Sun
day to visit at the home of former
Mayor John P. Sattler, grandfather
of Lawrence, and also with Mr. and
Mrs. Jess F. Warga and Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Herbster.
HOLD CHURCH SERVICES

olic world, th' feast of the Immacu
late Conception. Masses were held
early at 6 o'clock at the St. John's
and Holy Rosary churches, this early
mass permitting the attendance of
the working people unable to attend
the later masses of the day.
LEAVE ON OUTING
Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Soennichsen
departed Sunday. fDr a motor trip
that takes them to Chicago for a visit
with friends for a short time and
then on to Wisconsin where they ex
pect to spend a short time in the lake
country and enjoying a rest.

broken on Saturday. She was play

Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Egenberger and
Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Carter and Beverly
Ann left for Iowa City on a vacation
trip. They will visit with the Misses
Marcella and Jessie Hotz, nieces of
