Kerr, a long time resi dent of Plattsmouth, celebrated her eighty-third birthday anniversary yesterday at her home on Pearl street. Mrs. Kerr has been a resident of this city for 56 years. Mrs. Alice Andrews, another daughter, and her daughter Mlna and son Gene, who have been spending the summer in New York, returned to help celebrate the anniversary. Lowson gave the devotionals on Paul's journey, taking as her theme. "Victorious Liv ing, the Life of a Christian." Since this was the first meeting of the year, plans were made for the year. The enigmas, or quizes, were then given with Mrs. T. B. Farmer in charge. Mrs. R. B. Hayes brought the study courses to be used for the year, presented them and gave an outline for the members. On Monday the Swanda family family were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Wocst. Friday evening the club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie W. Xiel. the event being a covered dish fried chicken supper in honor of the departing friends. After the delicious repast the members joined in playing pinochle and in which Mrs. Augusta Haupt was winner of the first prize. Mrs. Florence Coleman, second, while for the men Mr. Swanda was the win ner of first and Charles Manners of the second prize.
