VISITS WITH SISTER
Mrs. Sarah Younker, of Ogallala.
Nebraska, is here for a visit at the
home of her sister, Mrs. J. F. Clusy
and family. Mrs. Younker has been
at the University hospital at Omaha
undergoing treatment for some time
and is feeling much better. She will
later undergo an operation for the
removal of cataracts from one of her
eyes as soon as the conditions are
favorable and will remain here until
after the operation.
HAS A BUSY TIME
Rex Young, the auctioneer, is one
of the busiest men in the county
as his sale business has been excep
tionally strong this year. Mr. Young
is having sales almost every day
and which includes real estate and

I property auctions as wen as
run of farm sales, lie has community
sales here and at Syracuse as regular
I features. This week Mr. Young is to
hold sales of household goods as well
'as several pieces of real estate at
I Springfield.

auspices of the state dental society.
MAKE FINE DONATION
The II. M. Soennichsen Co. made
a very pleasing: addition to the flower
show Saturday afternoon when a
large tray of fresh vegetables was
added to the exhibit so artistically
shown.
STORY HOUR AT LIBRARY
The first story hour of this year
will take place Friday afternoon at
the library. It will be under the
direction of Mrs. Kieck. A line pro
gram has been planned for this story
hour ofr the first, second and third
classes. The parents are welcome.

Sunday the members of the Holy
Rosary parish held their election of
trustees for the ensuing: year, James
J. Holy, Jr.. and James Zitka, being
selected to serve on the board.
CONDITION NOT SO GOOD
Messages received Sunday by the
relatives here state that George C
Sheldon, of Xehawka, who is ill in a
hospital in New York, is not so well
and his condition seems much more
serious. Mrs. Sheldon and K. C. Giles,
of this city, a brother-in-law, depart
ed last week for the east to be with
Mr. Sheldon.
